I've run 30t on the old Ultegra di2 with no problems.

OK , im going to give a T30 a try and I think i'll make good use of this gearing for only 2 rides , so I was thinking of using a Tiagra cassette 12-30 .. Is a Tiagra cassette be a problem other than a little more weight ????

I have a 12/32 on my Domane and have no problems. Try to stay out of big-big cross chain, but even when I do, it works fine.
