You know how we always want something more than what we have......human nature to a big degree rather than necessity. But right now if I had up to $5k to spend on a road bike I would be looking hard at the Orca M50 11 speed in the Euskaltel team color!
What would you be picking as your next ride???

I would get a "new to me" Orca from around 2007 in orange and black. I really like the looks of those. Failing that, I might look to replace my Lemond Zurich with one from 2007 when the frames were all carbon. I am not a big fan of pressed in bottom brackets.

Baum Coretto - almost exactly like this matte black/pink. but with less pink...kinda Rapha style
I realize that this is a frame >5k but if you give me 5K that i can onll spend on a bike i would put to towards this and make up the difference. I have a new SRAM red group that is about to go on my crit bike and i have some reynolds tubulars so i'd be all set to go

I've always wanted a Kuota or a Lapierre. In the last couple years, I could add a Canyon to the list. I love the Trek my wife bought me last year, so I don't need anything better.

Felt F4 with Ultegra 6800. Even has an Ultegra crank and not a FSA. Ultegra brakes and Shimano wheels. I will have one by Spring.

Doubt it's under the $5K threshold, but I'd pick the 2014 Orca M22. Assuming that one is out of the price range, I'd opt for the 2014 Roubaix SL4 Pro Race.

I don't know what I'd get for sure, but I'd be checking out high-end aluminum from Cannondale and Specialized. I prefer aluminum because my bike is regularly locked to a bike rack and sometimes gets banged around a little bit around the seat tube and chain stays if it tips over on the rack from wind or accidentally from others using the rack.

Probably a custom bishop, Baum, or maybe a new Breadwinner.
IF a plastic bike, then a BMC team machine, or perhaps a Parlee.
