Never missed an Alpine Show. Saw every one. And every show within 100 miles of there. 112 shows in all, many states, venues. From 1st show at the Uptown Theater in 1979 to the very last one at Soldier Field in 95.... I sometimes do recovery rides to deadnet while on my bike. There is a great app
Now I ride and play hockey to have a high time.

Alpine, you say? I was at Alpine in.... uh.... '89? It was the year it turned into a mud bog the last day.
We hooked up with, and I kid you not, this stretch-van of people from Cinci... 11 women and one dude... followed them back to Cinci and partied with them for a week or so. Had to leave before our peckers got worn plumb off.
Man... good times.... sigh....

I'm pretty sure she's saying naughty things to me in French.
I once recorded an album with an all-female band (ran a recording studio for ~20 years) and I knew it was going to be fun when I was bent over plugging a mic cable into a snake box and one of them said, "oooh, recording guy crack!".
