Add me to the list of owners of the Cree XML T6 $39 eBay special.
I've had it for a little over a year, and it's still operating well. Battery pack still lasts 3 hours. LED has plenty of power. The simple mount works good. It's survived a few drops. No issues with riding in the rain or overheating. Love the half power feature. And the lens configuration is just right in my opinion.
The general flood gives you strong visibility to motorists and pedestrians who are not directly in front of you, without being too bright and an annoyance to them, and its combined with the strong focused beam which illuminates the path far enough ahead to spot bad pavement and obstacles in time to avoid, when riding at high speeds.
My only complaint is the charge time is slow. But that's a non issue since I never need to use it more than 3 hours a day.
In a hobby that involves very pricey gear, this is one of the best bang for the buck purchases i've made.

Not true with Gemini, I bought a Gemini Titan a year ago from Action LED and it has worked flawlesly. Can't speak for the malware, I just appreciate Avast , it warns me about the malware as soon as I open the page (3) it was on without even clicking on the link and locks the link out.

I have 2 of the $25 CREE lights. Both of them shut off when I hit rough terrain or when they overheat, which seems to be about every 10 minutes. I've got to find something better. The only way to restart them is to disconnect and reconnect the battery, and that's not always easy in the dark.
