Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I think the new Roubiax has disc brake options. Many of the new frames due now that there is wide-spread support from (mainly) SRAM and Shimano for road discs.

Honestly, with that range of bike you're talking about its hard to find a bad frame. Pick the one you like best.

Well I have the '13 Roubaix SL4 Ultegra and can say it is an awesome bike. It's hard to say if the spesh zerts really help but the carbon frame, fork and larger head tube really make for a nice endurance bike. It does not have disc brakes.

What's a "Cognalo", is it like a "Chinarello"?

I'm in the same boat. Both bikes are amazing. What helped you decide?

The difference between a Roubaix and a CLX3 frame in the context of geometry is pretty significant. It's interesting to be choosing between the two. Were you fit?

The two local bike stores do a fitting after choosing a bike. Of course, You can test ride anything, but it is near impossible for me to get a feel for something after just 5 miles of riding it.

firstly, the cognalo looks really hot ( as compared to the SL4)....
and 2nd (and equally importantly) i was more satisfied with the guy representing cognalo!!
and lastly...i went by the golden rule...if all things are equal...go with the cognalo
