NEW, New Giro Aero Helmet?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

NEW, New Giro Aero Helmet?

The title wasn't a typo... I think everyone is in agreement that the Air Attack is not the prettiest helmet out there. But it looks like Philippe Gilbert might be wearing a new aero helmet from Giro? Looks narrow like the Specialized Evade, which looks fine head on, but gets a bit bulbous from the sides and back.

Or is this just a small Air Attack painted with the rainbow stripes that just looks narrow?

I think Gilbert needs bigger legs.

Just a paint job. The Air Attack I have is about 1cm smaller in width length and height compared to my Ionos and a few other helmets.

Isn't one cm in helmet size like a pound on bicycle weight or an inch where it counts? I think it might make a noticeable visual difference.. That being said I tried the air attack at my local tri shop and it looked whacky.

The LBS employees are laughing about the customer that tried the helmet on backwards

hmmm, I just like to wear real aero helmets not that Air attack cheap excuse for a helmet

Jokes aside, I loved that helmet as soon as I saw it on the website before it came out. I tried it on and it didnt fit me well.. I was really bummed.

That's entirely subjective and influenced by established style more than anything else, which is OK. As with Gilbert's case, bigger guads would make it look less wacky.

(note: it's "wacky", not "whacky")
