Need tire recommendations cuz I'm done with the Vittoria Cosra line...
I started using Vittoria Corsa's several years ago despite the fact that some people said they were pretty delicate. And for the first few years, I got pretty luck! But the last few years...they've sucked! I look at them funny and they puncture!
I'd like to continue using a light fast tire...but I NEED the thing to be more cut/puncture resistant than the dumb Corsa's. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

For clinchers, I've used Schwalbe Ultremo DD tires in the past and the ride were just as supple as the Corsas but a lot more durable.
Since switching to tubulars for the last couple of years, I've been using Schwalbe Ultremo HT tires and they've been my favorite tubulars so far. I haven't flatted, and the pair I replaced earlier this year was used for around 1800 miles.

The vittorias benefit from a year in the dark before you use them. That said, I love the overall performance of my Schwalbe Ultremos zx

Got these and have to say only one flat in the last 1000 miles or so. They grip pretty good. Yet the only thing I have to compare them to is the Roubaix tires that came with the bike.

go down a notch or two in the Vittoria line - the Rubino pros. They are much more cut resistant than the Diamantes and Corsas, but at 150tpi are still more supple than Continentals and Michelins. They last a decent amount of mileage too - I get about 1500-2000 miles on the rear, and the fronts usually last twice that much. ymmv of course.

I love me some Vittorias but yes they cut so easily.
I'm now using GP4000S and I found the ride to be dull compared to Vittorias. I loved on how the Vittorias rolled.
Going to ride these tires out and maybe by mid 2014 I'll be in the market for new tires again.

Since many I use have been named, I can add one more to the list - Vredestein fortezza series. V-nice performance, great feel, about average/same as others in class for puncture resistence, incredibly durable, long lasting. been buying GP4000s & rubinos recently, but have moved over to the fortezzas and like them a lot also.

Are you talking clinchers? If so - I would agree that EVO Corsa if a horrible clincher for daily riding. It's a great tubular for racing. In a clincher you should be using Michelin Pro4 series or a Conti GP 4000s. Race tire feel and performance on a durable setup for 90% of those who ride.

I swear by Conti GP4000s 25s. My bike came with Micheline Pro3 tires, which didn't last a season. I switched to Contis, which were bombproof. On a lark I decided to try Vittoria Pave clinchers and shredded them to bits in short order. I then purchased Conti 25s and ain't lookin back. Suppler clinchers may exist, but for my purposes the Conti GP4000s 25 is perfect -- i.e., comfortable, fast enough, and worry-resistant.

Incorrect. The Vittoria Corsa setup has little flat protection woven into the tire itself. Nothing near what lines like Continental have (Vectran Band) or even the current generation Michelins. If you ride supple tires with little to no flat protection you will experience more flats than riding tires with flat protection.

So, unless the manufacturing has changed, the results are due to the whims of the flat gods.

I use Michelin Pro4 service road.. Love them. Grips like a mofo on turns and able to take a beating on rough roads.

PRO4 Endurance. 4000s picked up glass too easily for my use. Can't tell the difference between them in resistance or sticktion, wet or dry. I should roller test them for resistance, but I haven't. I didn't care for the older Rubino Pro Tech, though they were extremely flat resistant, but they say they've improved the compound.
