Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You could also buy a longer crank which could be shortened and tapped.

Are you sure? Even if you buy a 180, won't you have to go way shorter than 165 to lose the original hole. On all three of my cranks, you would have to move the hole >30 mm to get rid of the original one. That isn't practical. 165s aren't that rare. It is just a matter of finding someone who will ship it to Indonesia.

I'm sure you could have the hole 5mm closer to the end with a cut off crank with no risk of it failing. So a 175 should do the trick though ordering the 165 is certainly preferable
