Giant Riders Unite! Show off your Giant!

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I know the crank and valve stems are in the wrong position for the photo, but here is my wife's Avail:

Just starting to put it together, as the 5800 groupset arrived on Thursday.

Look at the ISP. That's in 0 only. But yes, 0s should have DuraAce.

Yes, I stand corrected. Between my wife and I, we have so many bikes with SL designations that I got confused. I dug out the receipt and it is a 2014 SL 1. Sorry for the confusion and I'll correct my post.

BTW, I'm picking up a 2015 Propel Advanced Pro 1 tomorrow. Pics to come.

all 2014+ SL's are all isp's. Back in 2011,12 and 13 they had telescopic seat tubes on the sl3 and sl4, but all sl0-sl2 had isp's.

Haha it happens, plus it wasn't your bike. Not like it was a big deal either, just pointing it out if you paid sl0 pricing for a sl1.

sweet, my lbs has a pro0 which I gave them my orange seat from my tcx and that bike looks awesome.

Yes, cycling is our passion and has been for over 30 years. We both raced, me a Cat 2 and her a Cat 3 many years ago. She was also a USCF and USPRO official in the 80s.

We're both 63 and have almost 12,500 miles between us this year. Just got back from a week long tandem tour in Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro and Slovenia.

Only 4 road bikes and a road tandem. We also have a pair of tadpole trikes and a pair of lightweight recumbents, one Dutch and one Polish. I rode bents for a few years due to some surgeries but have been back to uprights for a year or so.

I'll play... This is the first time in five years that I've ridden my road bike in October and also the first time I can't wait for cyclocross season to get over and the weather to warm up.

and one with all the fall colors...

Sweet! That's one model up from mine, IIRC. An Advanced Pro 0?

It is the Advanced Pro 0. It is replacing a 2008 Ridley Orion with SRAM Red 10spd. Going to Ultegra Di2, the shifting couldn't be more different. Not necessarily better or worse, just different. So smooth, sometimes I'm second guessing if I've shifted or not. All I've ridden is SRAM for the past 7 years or so. Still need to trim the steerer but I'm really impressed with the bike. It is fun to ride.

I've managed to get mine out for three short rides in the cold last week. Mine is replacing an all Campy Record Roubaix Pro SL3. My Propel handles and climbs better but I prefer the Record shifting on my Roubaix over the mechanical Ultegra. I'll probably switch to Campy next Summer or else upgrade to Di.

Mostly stock TCR. Since this picture I have replaced the bars with some Zipp compact drops and swapped out the standard 6700 crankset for a compact 6700 crankset.
