Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ok. That is just funny (and some good karma).

Great story! Especially the follow up about courage. Thanks for sharing it.

What are the odds - I just walked out the front door to ask my wife a question, and my son went riding by on two wheels (he is also 6), for the first time.

Nothing beats riding with my kids (8, 5 & 3) for me. I think we got our last ride in yesterday before the weather keeps us away but if we get another sunny weekend we'll be out there together for sure.

Very cool story. I love readig stuff like this I remember my first ride with my nephew and how much fun it was watching him smile and push to get that last mile in so he could say e rode 10 miles. That was one of my shorter rides that summer (2007) but my best ride ever.
