Finally, my ideal road jacket

Voler's new jacket is exactly what I've been wanting for a long time. It's made in USA, windproof, yellow, long-tailed, water repellent yet not waterproof, but then I hate waterproof. What's remarkable about it is what it does not have: no draft flap, no pockets, no Velcro, no pit zips, no mesh liner, no mouse fur in the collar, no excess fabric. It has enough room for a heavy jersey, but isn't a parachute. My medium crushes down to the size of a naval orange.

They started only making it in black, and just came out with the Hi-Viz version. $55.00. It was on sale briefly for $44.00, but that must have only lasted a couple days.

I like hi-viz stuff, I just wish they could incorporate a little style. just a little - like some black stripes or something

I agree, a combination yellow/black would be very cool.

How is the fit, versus the size chart? I have been semi looking for a compact wind shell, but at 6'3" often have to size up for length, and wind shells become wind socks.

Fail. Clearly doesn't say Rapha if it's under $150. ;)

Reviews say it's true to size. My medium was. Very trim compared to most. Could always send it back . . .

Thanks. The size chart doesn't look bad fit wise, so that is decent.

Hmm, this looks pretty good. I've been looking for a water-resistant jacket that's not too big/flappy/insulated.

This looks decent too, but doesn't act as a wind breaker I take it: http://www.voler.com/browse/product/li/1010B60CLRXSM

I agree. According to their chart, I should wear X-Large based on height, but Medium based on chest and weight. I guess Large would work. :thumb:

The clear jacket is PVC, so it doesn't breathe except through the fabric venting. Should be a decent cheapo for someone who has to show their sponsor's colors. Or like it says, for a commuter who goes fairly easy and doesn't want to get their clothes wet or spend much money on it, like a McD or Walmart worker.

Good to know. Thank you. I looked at some of the older model reviews and that seemed to be the general consensus (no breathability).

Picked up a long back by Hind. Wind / water repellent breather jacket that also crush compacts. $7 at TJ Maxx of all places. Love it.
