Nice!! Have not seen a silver one yet. Not sure what year mine is (I think 2012) but is the black/red SL4 with Ultegra di2. Great bikes!

2-3 weeks ago I ordered the same bike and color. I was told arrival in December. I also ordered the Ultegra crank. I have not seen the color in person.

I got my wife a Ruby ( its a roubaix basically) 2013 matte black with a gold strip.... just put some CLX 40's on it... looks like a BMF... this weekends ride with a S-Works Toupe seat got my in trouble though.. had to put a comfy one back on.

Hey Tom, I just got word Specialized is going to warranty my SL2 Roubaix frame with a 2014 SL4 Expert in - wait for it - silver. I'll post a picture up once I get the parts are swapped over and let you know how it rides. The "real life" pictures make the color appear lighter.

Thanks Dunbar! Can't wait to see it!
Just got back from elk hunting.... whew... I am ready for a couple days break to heal up then hit it again on the bike. My body felt great up (7000 feet) there and my worries about weird muscle imbalances from obsessive biking and not enough hiking, were unfounded. Legs felt super.
The only bummer about MY Roubaix Expert is that it has to fit ME... so it'll be the biggest frame size. They are a bit gawky looking IMHO. Oh well. I'll persevere through the tough, tough trial of a new Roubaix!

Yes, but I got 3 rear flats out of 4 rides. I took that as meaning I needed to change the rear tire (which I just did.)
I do notice the frame is substantially stiffer than my SL2 Roubaix was. It's a fair bit harsher over rough pavement. I don't have the CG-R post but I can always throw a 28mm rear tire on it and drop the pressure. I'll eventually be upgrading to wider rims which allow you to drop the pressure ~10psi.

Yes, I'll always be partial to the color scheme of my SL2. But Specialized warranty upgraded me to a $3k frame for free. I wasn't about to turn that down. I rode a loaner SL4 Roubaix in carbon satin / neon blue and didn't fall in with that color either. Looking at the 2014 Tarmac and Venge there's maybe one color scheme in each I could live with!

I'm sure you said somewhere. What was the failure on your frame? I've got a 2014 sl4 Roubaix in black which I love.

Congrats. That's a sweet bike. I was considering a new ride during the summer but the wife said not until our house is finished. I was looking at Specialized for sure.

Small crack internally in the seat tube. It would creak when pedaling seated. Specialized attempted to repair it but it didn't fix it so they gave me the SL4 Expert. Just got back from a 40 mile ride. Man, it's a lot stiffer than my SL2. I may need to move up my planned purchase of wider rims.
