Addiction XXIX

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

we still have a big silver cup full of gummi bears. kids never stop at our house, and i'm pretty sure nobody trick-or-treats on this side of town. they do some sort of special thing downtown instead.

also, four of the little single serve packets is something like 200 calories.

i've been interview prepping and working on my portfolio. well, and had a funeral to attend. got my first run in yesterday since sunday. had to go to the gym and run on a treadmill because it was cold and raining. i can't imagine running for hours on one of those things. unless it's cold and raining/sleeting, a blizzard, or there's ice all over the ground, i'm going to try to run outside most of the winter.

had a phone interview with a company's recruiter. they said they'd call back to schedule an in-person interview. is this like after a date, and if someone doesn't call after two days, they're not calling?

no, that's a "barrel".
actually the company the portfolio was being prepped for is my former employer, who used the sock monkey on the cover of a company holiday card one year. i've otherwise been applying for project management positions where a portfolio isn't really needed.
