hugi 240 front hub preload
This road wheel is about 8yrs old done about 2000K
Have noticed that when I tighten front skewer there is a definite noise from the front hub--loosen it or spin off the bike it is like silk
I'm guessing the preload is overset---have tried diff skewer /bike -same problem
Is there any way to fix this?
Tx

Are you over tightening the skewer? I have the same hub, but have never had a similar issue.

I dont think so -the skewer tension to make the hub quiet is a little too loose for my liking---it is not a serious noise, just a quiet grinding sound that cant be doing the bearing any good
