Shorts for lanky guys?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Shorts for lanky guys?

I'm 6'4" and 185 pounds. Are there any shorts or bibs with longer inseams relative to the waist size that are preferred by lanky guys such as myself? Mediums seem to fit alright in the waist and around my thighs, but are a tad shorter than I'd like. Larges tend to be the perfect length, but a bit loose.

I'm having the same issue (6'4" 195lbs). I've been searching some and I found the Louis Garneau elite bibs at performance bike. They have an 11.25" inseam according to the specs. Not sure what size this refers to. I'm guessing large. That's about the longest inseam I've found for shorts. Haven't tried them yet it was -6F this morning. They seem to be more of a warm weather bib from what I understand.

Performance Ultra bibs work well for me(6'2" 165lbs). The chamois is every bit as good as Pearl Izumi's high end bibs, but about half the price.

I'm a short 6"2, but the Giordana lazer bibs I have seem longer than other brands I've tried.

At 6'7" and 170 lbs, I'm a veritable giraffe. For me, the hands down winner for tall bike apparel is Aerotech Designs, www.aerotechdesigns.com. They have clothing that's just for Tall (not also fat, though they have that too) that includes shorts with long inseams, padded winter tights with really long legs, short sleeved and long sleeved jerseys cut long in the torso and arms, and even commuter/office shirts in tall sizes that fit great. They have a variety of sizes for their tall items (S-M-L-XL, etc) and their sizing charts give detailed measurements of inseams, sleeve lengths, chest, etc. All the clothing from their in-house brand is well made in the US, durable, modestly priced and straightforward with no BS or garish logos. As this is my first post, some may think I'm shilling, but I don't work for them, and trust me, I'm just an enthusiastic customer.

Best regards,

Dave

I'm 6'4" and 190 lbs. After much searching I have settled on the Louis Garneau Equipe, XL. They have the longest inseams I could find (11.25") and are a decent value especially on sale. They can seem tight on the legs at first, but after a couple of rides they felt right. The leg grippers are almost 2" wide which I find very comfortable. The Mondo and Neo Power also have the 11.25" inseam.

I also have a pair of the extra-long bib shorts from AeroTech. They are long and decent quality, but the leg grippers are very narrow which I did not find comfortable for long rides.
