Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Does anyone have this bike, and if so how do you like it?

It looks like the disc version has cyclocross gearing and cross-specific wheels. It's pretty different from the non-disc version.

but frame geometry is identical, standard compact 50-34 crank and 11-32t cogs, pretty standard road gearing. cross specific wheels sure, but minor

Super fun bike to ride. I've been eyeing one as a gravel grinder/rain bike.

I was looking at this bike myself. The GF02 disc version on sale at R&A has a cross-specific 46-36 crank, cross wheels and cross tires:
https://www.racycles.com/product/bmc-...-disc-105-bike

...while the version at the BMC site has a standard compact crank. It's helpful to know that there at least a couple of different versions of this bike out there. Maybe one is the 2013 and one is the 2014?

I've only seen the GF02 with a compact. I just checked BMC USA's inventory and they only show an option for a compact.

I've been drooling over the disc version at the LBS for a while. I haven't ridden it yet. If I do, I have a feeling it would follow me home.....and I would be in trouble.

I think I'd believe the BMC website first.
