Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How does this apply to cycling? I dunno, because it doesn't in the least, but it still irritates me...

Yeah, here topics don't have to be related to cycling. In fact they rarely are. This thread is essentially Foo 41™.

But THAT discussion won't work in here either. We tried it. Not good. Only works in P&R. Sorry.

Can we get the word "upgrade" added to the filter? It gets used in obscenely inappropriate ways in the 41.

The filter does change. I believe the mods can set it.

For example, I was surprised to see the recent thread on the "Annual Pissing Contest" go through because in the past you could not say pissing.

But you still can't say the word for kitty cat. Or the french word for shower, ******. You have to write it as doosh.

I certainly would have had I known it was on. This football crap is wearing me out.
