I had to take the test four times before it could place me, mainly because I know my local dialect and intentionally don't use it. Also, my dad always used pop instead of soda, which is a regional flyer. It finally got me down to Rochester, Buffalo, or New York City.

I knew nothing about "bubbler" until a week before seeing the test. What a hoot.

The test said my wife was from Little Rock, Arkansas or Missouri(can't remember specific city) based on "you'uns", which she heard once and adopted.

What the heck is the "road next to a highway"? I would not have thought it had that many friggin options.

I explained the need for a 110mm stem. The purchase was approved. The 120mm will go back to the Paketa and the OS-99 back in the box.

When approval is given, one must strike quickly. Excel in the morning after the Tacoma service.

So, work compressor failed Thursday. Today, primary transformer imploded (lost a leg). No heat in facility going into this lovely cold evening. I don't mind one issue, but as they run together, it gets tiring.

The Neuvation thing is sad. I emailed with John a couple times years back. Nice guy. Maybe his prices were too good and the market too small.

It was pronounced "bubbla" in the little New England town I lived in for a few years.

I forget - what were they? Frontage, service... what else? Access?

I just remember not wanting to pick a favorite among: hero, hoagie, sub, grinder, po' boy

Frontage, access, service, feeder, gateway, no word for, or other word.

The big cat one was funny too, as I think I have used every word on the list (mountain lion, panther, cougar), so I have no clue as to what's regional. Panther made me laugh because that, and "painter", is what they were called in Adirondack lore.

I'm going to bed, but here's another test that some may be interested in - it's equal parts fun and infuriating - Can you name the 200 classic rock hits from the intro audio clip? It's a bunch of 5 second clips - you need to type the name in while the song is playing (pause the playback, type, resume). I got 50-something last night - there's a 20 minute time limit and I ran out of time before getting through all 200. Maybe I heard 120-130 songs. Worst possible scenario is knowing the song but not immediately knowing the name - it's an easy way to waste a 15-20 seconds while you mentally fast forward through the song looking for the title - happened to me a lot.

You forgot puma and catamount - tisk tisk. (In addition to being a big cat buff when I was a kid, my HS mascot was the cougar, so I couldn't answer that one, either.)

Yes. And fun. Some of the older rock songs (60s-70s) were not in my wheelhouse, so I'm sure that some of you slightly older farts could do better.
