yeah, it's just interesting to me how technology becomes such a crutch. i used to be really good at finding my way around and had a good sense of direction. that mostly went down the ****ter after a few years of having a phone that does everything. it's so dumb that we're so dependent on technology. the detox will be good for us.........you can do this. I've done it for 64 years and I still know where I'm going and how to get home.
When you get too old to remember how to get home without the phone, just get someone to pin a note to your shirt.
this showed up at our house on saturday. i'm turning our dining room into a sweat shop.
That's pretty sweet - extra heavy-duty for leather?
Wife and I found an old Singer (in a table) at a Salvation Army for $45 a few years back. About $5 worth of parts from ebay and it runs like a champ.
They look like big, good, strong hands, don't they?
yep. taking over part of a friend's business since she's retiring. leather lettering and logos for racers.
i'm not sure it's going to pay our mortgage, but i already have a list of customers who need stuff. people freaked out when she announced her retirement, and she's training me. should be fun. i need to throttle this thing back though before i sew through my hand.
a friend brought it over. it was sitting in a warehouse for the past 7 years. he saved it from a dumpster. it's on permanent loan for as long as i need it. he's got a cylinder bed machine available too.
Someone mention coffee?
Happy new years everyone!
Nanaimo bars are not helping my waistline either.
