Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

Why on earth are you using an email address through an ISP???

What? It took me forever to get used to Mac after years on PCs and Apple lls. I would yell at the Mac "let me type a command, dammit"

Didn't get on Windows til 1992 and it was worse at first, then I discovered the command line...

No kiddin. I messed around with a couple of those, but have had my yahoo address since 1997.

Maybe I should get my name as domain. I'm sure it's available in all TLDs.

DOS was originally a hacked together CP/M derivative for X86 processors. Before Bill Gates bought it after selling IBM an OS it didn't actually have, its name was QDOS, Quick and Dirty Operating System. Everything about it, including the CLI, was extremely limited and worst in class. Products like 4DOS helped, but for a real CLI, bourne shell derivatives are hard to beat.

The coolest (and by "coolest" I mean "nerdiest") is to get your own domain name. Gmail is a good product if you don't mind them mining your email for advertising information.

I think she got skeerd off by the goofballs here. She's probably having serious doubts about BH now that she's seen who he hangs out with online.

Got out for 46 miles today, had to ride the last third of it in a downpour though.

Had a satisfying trainer workout Thursday, and got outside for an hour today. Hope to ride longer tomorrow. Paved roads are a lot more sketchy than the gravel roads right now. The new Wolvhammer boots are head and shoulders above my old Lakes. This is what it looked like:

I kinda want to find hosting with something better than POP3, but I don't know that I really want to pay for IMAP or Exchange. Know of anything decent and cheap?

You're such a pansy. Ride your pink girls bike with a triple.

That was a civil fruit discussion. The main trouble makers even seemed to agree on something.
