Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Oh spare me. The point is you couldn't take a fraction of what he can take.

Sure you can be disappointed and critical of his performance, but to call him "glass" is a little harsh and a lotta ridiculous.

I have a new set in now, but I have never heard such noise from a bike.

Yessir. It appears riding in the snow for 6 hours on the first must have finished them off. They felt good after washing it, and no noise. Halfway up Lookout, all hell broke loose. Creaking, clicking, just weird.

I may just wear an orange shirt tomorrow. Just because it says Mile High Nationals on it shouldn't matter.

Billy, that's a really, really dumb argument. His performance relative to *me* is neither here nor there. By your (il)logic, virtually no one can criticize any athlete for anything - not a QB that throws a game away with a late game interception or a DB that gets torched because he's slowed down a step or a kicker that shanks a FG attempt, etc, etc.

Harvin is glass. In his short career, he's missed several games due to migraines and he's missed several game due to soreness... this is in addition to his multiple trips to the IR. Glass.

Yeah yeah whatever. I know you NEVER intend to lose an argument. lol But I couldn't call anyone who, in real life is orders of magnitude tougher than me, fragile as glass. That's just the height of ludicrousness.

These guys ain't video game characters you know.

Okay Billy, you're right - it's "the height of ludicrousness" to judge performance vs peers. The next time someone says that Denali road bikes suck, I'll let them know that their opinion is invalid unless they can fabricate a better frame with their own hands. Thanks for helping me sort that out.

These Colts are going to be a problem to put away. They're resilient. Tough, some might say.
