Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The Assaults? I assume it wasn't the 66s. Is that why you bought the CX Rays?

LAJ might have the most complete Addiction quiver.

Correct on the Assaults. CX-Rays are just good stuff, and should help in the wind, as well as piece of mind.

It looks like I would need a bow tie to ride it.

I little more understated. The $500.00 in savings didn't hurt either.

Thanks mvnsnd. Waiting till the last day isn't usually my style, but that's how it played out.

It's completely different. Lighter and faster (they say), but if it does just as well as my Wheelhouse, I'll be happy.

I just noticed Di2 shifters are less than 6700.

Crap.

That's why I waited so long. It grew on me, but I can't say it hit me like a ton of bricks like the Wheelhouse. Either way, the November folks sold me more than the dojo.

My blue and black Russian Paketa was pretty sweet, though. When they took that one and replaced it with the Made in Boulder eggplant frameset, I was very sad. That eggplant Paketa was ugly as hell.

Luckily, the eggplant bike killed itself with a little BB corrosion. Then came the black on black.

Man, I put 25-pound kickass mountainbikes up on CL for $140 and I get crickets.

Put a 28-pound Novara touring bike up for $225 and it's like chumming for sharks on Portland CL.

Musta been the orange Newbaum's.

woot! got hired to shoot an event so new (to me, it's used - D7000) camera has been ordered. i get to go from 6.1MP to 16.2MP (which is kind of a big deal when i'm trying to shoot for print pubs.) and use cards bigger than 2GB. (for whatever reason, the D50 can only handle 2GB cards... that's only about 200 shots RAW + small jpg which sucks when i sometimes shoot 2K shots a day at a race.)

I have mixed feelings on the logo. We have as much fun on Halloween as we do on Christmas, and the old one was a reminder of that. And, the Addams Family. I do get the reasoning behind the change though.

Most excellent. After seeing the shots you put up this morning, I can't wait for the new batch.

it's definitely very halloween/addams family and has a personality. i think it's the big white circle/full moon that bugs me. i don't mind it as much when it's just the outline.

Yep. That's a handsome combination. (Doesn't hurt probably that orange and blue are Broncos colors.) Maybe I should style more bikes.

I have a few brand loyalty issues. Outside of Campy, it's the US stuff. I appreciate a quality American product, even if it's a bit more expensive.

The Paketa guys have always been good to me. A Paketa was the first road bike I coveted. I coveted the Litespeed Tuscany, but couldn't afford it. Finally bought the Russian frameset and hung it from the ceiling until I could afford to build it up.
