Has anyone been able to get the new Ultegra Di2?
How does it ride?
How does it compare to the previous version?
Battery life?

I have a 2013 Tarmac Expert w Ultegra DI2. It shifts flawlessly. The biggest difference is shifting the front rings. Despite the wide spread of a 52/36 mid-compact, it shifts instantly. It takes a little getting used to. You will want to use fingertip less gloves until you get used to the feel of the buttons. I like it. I am glad I paid the slight premium. I haven't owned it long enough to have to charge the battery. jhglaw

I'm an owner of the "previous" version and can't find any flaws other than it's pretty heavy (not a weenie anyway). I'd take weight over losing 400g all day.

I'd be surprised if there was any noticeable difference between the 2 other than you have an extra cog. If anyone says there's a perceived difference between shifting their on drugs or they're robots. The Ultegra and DA version should only differ in weight when it comes to the Di2 versions, not the mech.

I can't imagine it being faster than 2013 Di2, as mine is instant as far as I'm concerned.2013 battery is good for 2000kms farther than I am going in any given day. Love mine, best thing invented since the wheel!
