I'm 68 miles short of my goal for the year and the wind this week seems determined to keep me from hitting it.... My goal was to ride 4K miles. If the weather isn't horrible I'm going to knock it out this weekend in one ride hopefully.
I suppose the question is with 3 months left what my new goal should be.... Not sure if I can hit 5K. Depends on the weather I suppose. I've been trying to hit around 120 miles a week, but I'll be well short this week - not sure what my average has been exactly.

I hit 5,000 miles for 2015 today, nice cool and cloudy ride to get my hair cut and pick up some lunch. In 2014, I was excited to hit 5,000 in December, it'll be interesting to see where this year goes from here.

After missing over 20 days of riding due to spinal stenosis,(pinched nerve) I'm less than 300 miles shy of 6000. Should be a piece of cake!

on the cusp of 6,000 miles for this year. at current pace, will finish around 6,400. less than last year's 6,700 and less satisfying.
last year was riding less frequently for longer. this year has been about more often and shorter distances. preferred last year's methods.

I started cycling late summer of last year, and managed to get just over 1000 miles. I've set a goal this year to finish the year with 4000 miles, and I am about 120 miles away now from this goal. Few centuries done, metric and 103 being my longest single ride. I still remember how much effort it took riding 10-20 miles @ 16-17mph pace, nice to see these miles are making me a stronger rider. Finish a metric century @ 18+ average, and 20-30 mile rides @ 19-20mph.

2016 total was a bit over 5,700 miles. Not bad. My goal was 5,000.

Is this mileage thread still being maintained?
Is there a Google sheet for 2017?
I have just cleared 8000 miles in 2017 and keep a detailed sheet of my own but it woul dbe much more fun to be motivated by comparing to others.
thansks

5414 for 2017. We had a lot of rain last winter and I didn't bike for several months. Then it was a struggle to regain fitness when I started biking in early March. Assuming I still have the same job that offers 28 miles per day of commute and some dry biking days, I hope to reach 6k in 2018. I've conquered the cold feet with winter cycling shoes, so chilly weather isn't an issue. Just the rain; I don't like biking in rain.

Why is this even a sticky in 2018?
It pushes useful content even further down the screen in the Road Forum.

Doesn't look like thread was used much for 2017. Closing.
