Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Which bike would u buy?

I am considering getting a 2013 SS Evo red for $3200 or 2013 SS Evo Di2 (ultergra) for $3400 for short tri's and joy rides thru hills. Any thoughts on which is the better value and bike? Thx for responding

I...what?

You're comparing two groups that are about as different as high end groups get, on two $3k bikes, based on value? Go ride them and figure it out for yourself.

I looked at a evo red bike at a shop a week ago and was shocked how light it felt for a stock bike.

People who have di2 bikes seem to really love them so that's a tough call.

Before you buy check into the cost for replacement parts for various parts for each groupset; and on the electrical group count on buying a replacement battery every 2 to 3 years and how much will that cost.

Using that logic he should get a fix gear less parts to wear out and replace.
