Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Authority to Nominate:
  1. Anyone can nominate a candidate, but must provide supporting documentation of the nominee’s accomplishments in order for the nominee to be considered for placement on the ballot. Please be as complete as possible and document major accomplishments. A list of what are considered a nominees top 10 accomplishments is a good start.
  2. Submitted documents will not be returned and are retained as part of the Hall of Fame’s archives. Please submit copies of materials you wish to keep.
Nomination Process
I see nothing that says you need to use your real name to nominate a candidate.

I got in 22 miles today. 14.9 mph average speed!

I spotted a dead opossum and a dead rabbit.

Viewed 4 mountains.

Most amazing weather imaginable!

I did two loads of laundry, washed a sink's worth of dishes, unclogged the toilet, and knitted four rounds of a sock. (I very nearly baked a batch of brownies.) The weather while I did these things was also quite clement.

oh, forgot to say also I have solved the misfire on the Camaro. I had a bad distributor, The new msd unit fixed it, runs like a scalded cat now. She is almost ready for spring, spent yesterday afternoon rubbing out some haze and a few scratches, gets better every time I do it.

Being a service adviser is one of the most under appreciated jobs out there. Walking the fine line between the snotty customers, and the snotty techs, takes some real skill. Best of luck, ts. I think you have the right stuff to get it done.

You must realize of course we have the resources to hunt you down and inflict great bodily harm.

It's blowing dogs off chains here. Maybe I should buy some stupidly heavy bicycle wheels so my bike does not blow away.

thanks. i'm very much looking forward to learning something new, and having a more active job that doesn't involve sitting behind a desk all day. (in an attic, by myself, surrounded by cats.) motorcycle people are my people and i felt instantly comfortable there. so, fingers crossed, they agree to the minor issues i had (my cross-country trip, and scheduling around teaching in fall) and i have a new job tomorrow.

...be patient. BY the time August rolls around, I suspect you will feel sorry for me. That's about when the whole state ought to be on fire.

My brother did that at a Harley dealership for a year or so. He liked the perks and being around bikes, but not so much the pressure they put on him to "upsell" people on extra work. I suppose that is very much dependent on and unique to the shop.
