I'm gonna have to get some proper bars on here to decide about this one. Or maybe ditch the triple or the dork disc. I dunno something doesn't feel right and I like the Raleigh better I think. Maybe I'm hooked on glued aluminum.

I was disappointed here recently when even the weight weenie guys would not rise up to berate me for swapping out a CF seat post with an aluminum one. Shocking.

Why? Both of my Tarmacs have Thompson seat posts. They are teh awesomness! Best posts eva!

...I'm not a big fan of road bikes set up with triples and wide range gearing.

For my uses here, the triple is overkill, and it increases Q. Additionally, the longer cage on the
rear derailleur you need to accommodate all that range shifts less cleanly and precisely.

And for me, if I were to want something that had that kind of gearing it would be set up to tour.
I guess if I rode up in the foothills or mountains more something like that would make more sense.

These are the same issues I'm attempting to solve on that most recent Specialized bike I bought a while back.

Two Tarmacs? Really? There is a fat kid in Africa who could be a runway model with access to one of those!!!! You are a glutton, Mr. Elephant (Tweetie quote).

I can say with certainty that in 7 years of owning the dog, I never once thought that he was cat like.

So the best way to describe an Italian Greyhound:

Attach a series of wires to your hand, and put a continuous 150 milliamps through it, so that every muscle is twitching and spasming. Then cut your hand off, but keep the current on, so the frail, boney hand continues to twitch and spasm about your house, leaving a trail of bodily fluids, while every nerve ending and synapse in your severed stump screams "why did I ever think that this was a good idea?"

Nothing on their site right now with BMC as the brand. According to Competitive Cyclist, BMC no longer sells to on-line shops.

i just typed out a wordy post about camping vs. staying hotels and by the end of it i realized hotels win. i was considering sinking a bunch of money into camping gear when i realized i only have to pay to sleep 4-5 nights and i'd be spending less just getting hotel rooms.

Haven't been in TH but I've had a good time or two in P&R. For flat-out judgeyness and argumentativeness, I've got to give the prize to the folks in A&S although Living Carfree is a close second. At least when you go into P&R, you've been warned by having to be let in.
