That's... disconcerting. I mean, either someone's bull****ting you or they have some serious infrastructure problems - neither is pleasant.

as with most jobs i've had that reveal the back side of an industry, i now have a different understanding for customer service issues. sometimes it is bull****. sometimes things happen. sometimes your hands are tied by the manufacturer.

either way, if someone says they will call, they should contact you somehow - even if it's just an update of "we're still looking into this".

Yeah. Whenever I get roped into furniture shopping with mrs datlas, I often remark on my observation that most of the men shopping are either gay or whipped. Nttawwt, of course....

What's with all the Specialized stuff lately? For a brand I don't much care for, I sure am liking some of them lately.

I'm gonna still hate Spec for Roubaix-gate. Just got rid of the only Specialized bit on the Lemon - Body Geometry Rival saddle. Rival, hmmm ... were they or Sram first to have Rival bike stuff? Someone should be getting sued, dammit! :)

being whipped is unfortunate necessity for any man who is not celebate.

coasting 03-29-14 12:13 PM

i dislikemy cycle computer being bar mounted. i wish i could put it on the stem. that is unoccupied space that which doesn't interfere with bike handling. why would anyone design a handlebar mount?

Sure seems that way. I like to think of it as diplomacy, but I am sure an outside observer would call my diplomacy the state of whippage.

That bike definitely calls for a black Thomson zero setback, IMO.

I agree with this post, about the above post

coasting 03-29-14 12:42 PM

from the pic i saw of the bmc, it does not look like a frame specific post is required. thomson.

coasting 03-29-14 12:43 PM

and i do not like frame specific posts because how do you deal with a need to change the set back?

Nice looking bike. You do get partial credit for the white garage door, but two demerits for having the drivetrain facing the wrong way.

Cranks are in the wrong position also, should be a side shot too. Blue bar tape? Thats not pro at all......

It's all about the post.

I'm tempted to go McDonald's colourway with the Lemon. Whatchyall think about red saddle, bottle cages and bar tape?

Damn, that zero degree stem has to go. If it ever stops raining I'm going down to Portland for an olde Cinelli.

It's over. Crate & Barrel. Reclaimed Brazilian telephone pole dining room table, chairs, coffee table, hutch. I was brought in for final negotiations.
