Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Some folks told you to lower your saddle just a tad, grab the flats, and scootch back on the saddle. Heel down on the down stroke, and lift with the other leg. Concentrate on the lift, as the down stroke is natural.

Sorry I ws so late.... 2.5 on the rollers. Then, some tile and grout work. I was ready to get off the rollers at an hour, but the tile work ahead kept me on the rollers another hour and a half.

On today's ride I was first up the climbs. The other two riders were 30 and 95 pounds heavier than me.

Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.

I had a class A license, so when they were short I was forever moving around to drive something.

Just so you know why you should stay a safe distance fro emergency equipment on the road, they
often woke me up at midnight to move to some station to drive something I'd never seen before, let
alone driven. In the dark. With lights and siren. Uncomfortably fast. I still drive like an ******* most of
the time because of that, even though I'm in no particular hurry.

i wish i could do a non-desk job. i think we would all be healthier if we moved more routinely instead of having to do exercise.

I tiled the kitchen and two bathrooms at my old house. It's out of my system now.

Are you nuts? I have a "non desk job", you want it? You think you will want to exercise after busting your ass all day at work?

Low budget painting tip: with the colors you don't like, mix two opposing colors to get a gray. The bright green is going to need a gray primer to not show through your final color. Make one for free, paint it on, and then your color of choice will only take one to two coats. I recommend a cool blueish gray (more blue than gray) for your final color choice. It is soothing, won't offend ownership, and shows less dirt. Also will cover gray primer in one coat. .
