You weren't waiting on a high end frame out of Crimea were you? Those Sevastapudlians know how to weld some mean titanium, after building the Soviet Death Star.

Oh, and if the rubber degrades too much, I have the materials to make old school leather straps for them instead.

I am at this juncture within 60 days of my 8 day 1000 mile bike ride attempt. May 3rd planned departure. May 7th @BillyD buys me dinner and beer in New Paltz. If I get a day off schedule, May 10th in Watkins Glen for fly by night (and a ride home from Mr. rjones28 ).

my final sentence should have said, "May 10th in Watkings Glen to watch @rjones28 do Fly by Night (and grovel for a way home with my broken husk of a body )"

+1 Exactly. We had this debate ad nauseum years ago, behind the curtain. Ultimately we decided Road and Racing could each keep one off-topic thread . . . ONE. After all, this IS a bike forum. So there should be no surprise when we move other off-topic threads. And there should be no resentment of the Addiction thread because you either like it and join in, or you don't and stay out. There's no lock on the door. But just because the flow isn't exactly as you like it on any particular day, or at all, doesn't mean you can go off and start another off-topic thread. The rules are clear, and there is nothing arbitrary or capricious about it.
The bottom line is: you can never please everybody. Say La Vee!

Rode the SS to work in the dumping snow and sleet. Got soaked. It was wonderful.
Almost time to do it again.

Thanks. It's freeing when you have to put your sunglasses in the vents because they're covered in slush. Panache winter jacket has been awesome. Kits came out pretty nice.
How's the Castelli kit? I think their stuff is really good. When the firm was considering starting a team, it was Hincapie or Castelli.

Herbert, LAJ and sbxx1985 put together some serious rides. Maybe some of you other boneheads could borrow a few shillings and piece together some eye candy to ogle instead of chit chat about your Dear Aunt Mabel's Hungarian spicy egg plant Parmesan ...
