Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I occasionally drink Corona Light. Depends on the situation.

I've lived in CO for 17 years. The land of the microbrew. Beer snobbery abounds.

I still drink PBR. I bought an eight of Guinness cans today for balance. And some JW Black.

I've picked up a taste for these... wikipedia says it's the same ownership as PBR.

I have never met a milk stout that was worthy of the name stout. YMMV.

Stout is like the Highlander. But with better acting.

Next time you get caught out in the dark and need a light, I reserve the right to say " I told you so".

I built a wheel tonight, all laced and trued, at the LBS. Second one laced and brought home to finish. I was there about 2 hours doing it. It was a fun 2 hours.

It's like someone at the local newspaper has thrown down the gauntlet...

...I'm only 65. If I pace myself, I can do this. Heck, I've probably already been in 25% of them.

I think that it's fair to say that a number of states/regions can lay claim to being a land of mircobrews, nowadays.

...what'd you end up with for final tension on the spokes ? Many wheels end up undertensioned. Not yours, of course.

Front wheel between 195 and almost 205 Kg as I went around it. The guy who showed me how to build it didn't want me to use the tension meter much, because he didn't want me to focus on that versus true and hop. I very much like the Sun CR18 rim. It has a very nice look.

I was working on the rear at home, and have a keen observation: cheap wheel stand NOT superior to expensive stand.

35-ish. I think I can get her below 30 with some 450 gram tyres and nicer cranks.

Alu bars, latex tubes, alloy nipples...
