I hate it when wifey is right.
I don't, actually. It's just been so hard to adopt her sermons, that flew in the face of conventional wisdom, that saturated fats were not harmful. Finally, a large study has proven her right.
And as she predicted, the real villain is likely carbohydrates and sugar.
That makes it easier, actually. Instead of having two classes of foods to avoid now there's only one - carbs & sugar.
Now if I can only hunt down who funded this study to make sure it wasn't the dairy and cattle industries, I will feel a lot better.

Certainly there are essentials that are fat soluble which are difficult to obtain in other ways.
I'd be careful about generalizing at this point, but I've been consuming small amounts of saturated
fats for a long time now, and so long as you keep your physical activity levels up and your stress
levels down, they seem to have done little harm in my own life. Possibly I am superhuman, but odds
are that I am not. I do think that the treatment of the animals that generate the fat ought to be of
some concern.......there's a lot of evidence that some of the harmful and carcinogenic things that
livestock encounter in industrial ag can get concentrated in the fat. That's a legit concern.

I'm just considering the reality that my department contains so much potential for injury and death and destruction.
I'm going to have to make sure the bike builders are doing their job right or someone could die.
If we sell kittens to someone who shouldn't have them, someone could die.
I'm going to have to make sure the bike builders are doing their job right or someone could die.
If we sell kittens to someone who shouldn't have them, someone could die.
I hope they will let you do that there, but they may have issues with your people riding around on bikes when, "They should be working."
We try to do that at the coop, in terms of donated bikes that go out having been test ridden by one of us.
With regard to kittens, don't beat yourself up too much. The cat's been out of the bag so long in this country that nobody will ever get it back inside.
I'm happy you're a conscientious person doing this job, but there are a lot of stray cats around, and you just can't neuter all of them.

....how the body deals with fats in general is a complex topic, and still not clearly understood.

Yeah I'm pretty lucky I have mrs BD, I've learned a lot from her in the nutrition arena that would have come much slower on my own. Much slower.

Total Cycling order finally arrived. Slightly disappointed. They sent the PS levers instead of the US levers. I'll probably just keep them, since I don't have a strong feeling about one US over the PS and the shipping took so long (took a full month).

Most of my movements start a few hours after beer and hotwings.

Once in a Lifetime.
I posted to a closed FB group I belong to today asking if it is generally accepted that the Talking Heads song Once In A Lifetime is about the same exact thing as the Auden poem In Praise of Limestone. Vs. it just being me who thinks that.
The lack of response suggests its just me.

That's how it's done at Veyron school. Just about every service on one of those requires the car to be split on a special jig. Once restored, you get to take the car that was just in 2 pieces on a 220 mph test drive.

I think that stinks, Mr. Rjones28, especially since I pointed them out to you. I almost ordered a set a few times in the past week, and am now glad I didn't.
