Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

HTFU we rode in the SNOW yesterday (which i will admit was a lot nicer than riding in the rain). I'm actually glad i didn't bail because it was one of those rides that i'll remember because it wasn't the same old same old.

going to be 50 this coming Sat... balmy!

Probably something which would make people in the states that actually have winter laugh out loud at me, but I don't actually know.

That said, it wasn't so much the rain as it was the wind. I can ride in the wet*, but when the wind is blowing heavy branches off trees and knocking fences down, I don't want to be riding in it.

* I actually like riding in the rain if it started raining after I started riding. I absolutely hate starting a ride in the rain, though, and generally won't do. I know, I know... as Jakedatc said above, HTFU.

I'll give you a pass this time...not for the falling branches but for the fences.
