good bike shop in colorado springs?
We are most likely moving to colorado springs, and i'd like some feedback on which shops are the best. I've been spoiled by working at St. Louis' best shop (Big Shark) for a few years, and though I won't be working at a bike shop in the springs, I want to find a good shop. We are visiting next week to make our final decision, and I only have time to go to one or two shops, and would like to know a few good ones, so I can talk to them about local road racing, crits, and mtb trails.

Colorado Cyclist is on Bijou. I've bought a few things there over the years. Seem to do a good amount of business.

Can agree with the first two replies, and add one. Bike Village up on the northern part of Academy. Have shopped all three shops. All three have been helpful, assisted in purchases and services.

Those shops are okay, but I'm looking for a "full service" cycling shop where I can also buy some good sativa to take on my rides.

When I visited my brother out in the Springs I went to Ascent and thought it was a great place. My brother does local MTB races and knows the guys. They hooked me up with a super sweet demo bike for the duration of my visit. Seemed like great people!!! FWIW Ascent Cycling. My brother just verified they carry Specialized road bikes.
I did go to Criterium too and that was a nice big shop!

I worked at Criterium for a bit in my college days. Great shop, great owners and employees (at the time, anyway). Also right next to a bike path, which was pretty sweet for test rides.
