    Chainring Shot? Bad Riding?

Hi All, just looking for some opinions. I've got about 1000 miles on my bike. Has FSA Gossamer Pro chainrings and they appear to be wearing down. Please see the pictures. First question: does this need to be replaced yet? Second question: whats the cause, cheap crankset? bad riding style? out of adjustment? Any idea are appreciated!

    Normal.

Not wear - but by design to aid in shifting. A worn chain ring wear down to "nubs" like that...they look more like curved shark fins.
