anybody know of a portable garmin mount?

i mean something that's easier to use than the 2 rubber o rings and the quarter turn mount. My wife likes to use hers on her spin bike and I haven't figure out how to easily provide a mount that she can take with her to work, put on the spin bike, and then bring home.

Any ideas? Something like an out-front mount with a clamp instead of a screw on mount would be perfect.

Mrs. Fred has the quarter turn wrist strap and the rubber wrist adapter.

I just keep one of my kids heavy duty hair elastics on my water bottle and use it to hold my 510 to the bar on the spin bikes. Keeps it from falling off and moving around, but sure not as secure as something with the 1/4 turn mount.

You could also see if you could find an appropriately sized thumbscrew that would fit in the out front mount and be easy enough to close properly (tight enough) without tools.

I do this to attach an Edge 500 to a day pack strap for hiking. Funny how I never thought of doing the same on a wrist strap. Silly me.

And I just bought the Garmin wrist strap that puts the Edge sideways on your wrist. Oh well, it was under $10 and included a zip-tie mount that I'll put on another bike anyway.
May your tires or beer never be flat.

Maybe I'm just not understanding the problem, but why not keep one quarter-turn mount on the spin bike and another one on the road bike? Then just attach/detach the Garmin to whatever bike she's using.

I believe the spin bike is located at a public gym not in a private home so attaching your mount to it permanently is not a viable solution.

It takes me about 10 seconds to attach and de-attach those 1/4 turn mounts. I can't imagine a huge need for something more convenient (though I haven't experimented with wrist mounts).

ditto. On a spin bike, just use one o-ring as it's not hitting bumps or going anywhere.
    Ride more. Fret less.
