    Need new tires

Stock Schwalbe Duranos are toast. LBS recommends Gatorskins of course.
Cannondale super six, 100 miles a week, a few Olympic triathlons a season.
Trying to keep it light, never had a flat with Duranos but would like to see if i can upgrade now with a different tire. go to a 25 from the 23? has anyone had a noticeable difference going that route?
25 Gatorskin going to slow it down?

Oh, and it's available in 25s on Amazon.

I'll tell you I had great success with my Bontrager R3's in 25mm. Had two sets each lasted well over 1500 miles and only 200g each. I just replaced with Conti 4000s series II in 23mm just to try something nee. They seem nice but kind of wishing I had gone 25mm which just seemed a little more comfy. Going to play with pressure on the 23's to see if it helps

If you did not puncture the Duranos I don't see any reason for gatorskins.

I've been happy with the Conti 4000s mentioned above, Michelin Pro3Race (now Pro 4) and have had zero issues with the Bontrager R3 Hard-Case Lites that came on my new bike (1250 miles to date).

That said, if you have no complaints with the Duranos, why not go for another set of what you know works?
May your tires or beer never be flat.

I've had some cutting and flat issues with Pro Race. They used to be my fave tire, but guess they changed the layup?

Another vote for Conti 4000s, although I'm probably going to try Vittoria next round just to check out something different.

    Cheers

I have the Durano S 23's on mine and they're a pretty good tire. I've had nothing but good results with Schwable both on and off road so my next set will be the same, might try the Ultremo ZX Tubeless next go around?

Agree. But some folks seem to have a harder time figuring it out.
