Profile Design Lightning Stryke aero bar

I've just ordered this, but had some trouble finding it.

    Question is:

Why would the manufacturer discontinue such an amazing aero bar (Lightning Stryke)? What's wrong with it? And why wouldn't another company copy it?

That is an interesting design. It clamps onto the stem right?

My guess is that they were replaced by the Air Stryke, which I think would be more compatible with different setups. (eg. I don't think I could use the lightning stryke on my bike because my stem is too angled).

I'm very new to aero bars in general. You may have a point about the lack of up-down adjustment in this particular design. Or is it true? There's no pivot bolt?

But is it a big issue? Why not replace stem with one that has correct angle? I have to replace stem anyway because this model requires the Hammer or Lava stem, which has a diamond-shaped cross section.

I looked at the Air Stryke. It's nothing like the Lightning Stryke except for part of the name. None of their current models mount on the stem. I don't know why.

The problem with replacing the stem with one that's straight is that it would change your handlebar height (if you previously had an angled one).
