    Technically, the OP already had his shop look at it, and they blew it off as nothing to worry about.

    I would bring it to a trusted non-Cannondale shop to get a second opinion, and pay the shop to give it a thorough inspection. If it's damaged, contact Cannondale and complain about how the 1st shop handled it. If its not damaged, I'd forget about the whole issue.
