But keep your wheels, I like mine
Whoops edited to change it to tires, but keep those too because I'm happy with what I've got

Dan, is your new Focus a manual or auto? I can find 6 speed manuals to test drive, but no five. I can order the 5 speed, but I am reluctant to without test driving.

So here is what the plan is. This shows the first six days, and leaves off the last day from my folk's place to my house, which is about 63 miles. So total trip is 668 miles.

1. day one does not link to a map, it links to your profile
2. Day three you are riding past the land of some of my peeps, if you need any help around Bennington VT, I could probably send some troops
Good luck, I am jealous, your trip looks great.

Looks to be a fun time, RollCNY. The elevation isn't horrible by the day, but on a single, it may be a bit pesky.

I just got the fusion hybrid-like it a lot. BTW- can you post an occasional snippet of video while tripping out there. Be nice to follow visually your trip. Us Indiana boys get a bit tired of the tapestry of corn and soybean that makes up our landscape.

I agree @RollCNY, you need to give your Addicts a little something each day. That's the way it works with Addicts.
Plus it is your responsibility to this thread. If you're doing an epic bike ride, you might as well take us along. We could all use a vicarious ride every now & then.

Hey Roll, I'm thinking about meeting up with you in Kingston, or at least in Rosendale; ride on into NP with you.

Monday and Tuesday, I guess all week really, we have been doing something called "setting mods". If, for example, you go to Megamart and see a pegboard with staplers, letter openers, scissors, etc arranged on it, you know that someone stuck peghooks into that board in those specific places to hold those products. This was achieved on Monday and Tuesday by staring at 8 1/2" X 11" sheets of paper and counting so many holes over and down using the tiny dots printed on the paper. Eight hours of this. I'm not claiming it's digging ditches but it's a good way to work up a headache and to become surly when you doublecheck a set up done by someone who decided "Eff it. Close is close enough."
(shortened to save the surver hampster some leg work)

HEY!!!! Whats wrong with digging ditches?!!!!

It rains so much here that rain bike is just "the bike", then you have your sun bike.
