My guess is that the not traveling so much is related to the possible dating. I think it's too early for either of you to be dating but everyone operates on their own timetable in these matters. It's definitely too soon to take up with a new woman if the old woman's stuff is still hanging around to be tripped over. He's a bit old to be given $20 and sent out to find pizza and a movie to keep him occupied. I am still very much in favor of having a male friend, preferably a large one, deliver the message that you will be coming by at X time on this weekend day and the friend will be helping you move the rest of your stuff out. Failing that or if you feel too uncomfortable with that or lack the requisite friend, requesting assistance from a member of law enforcement is still your best option. As long as he has possession of your stuff, he has a certain amount of power over you too. (Every time you go over there to get the truck or to pick up more stuff, he gets another chance to poke at you.) You need to take both the stuff and the power away from him and doing one will do the other. Don't wait until you're getting along again and don't give him a chance to decide he wants to dump everything on the curb and leave it at a time that may prove to be the most inconvenient possible. I'm not often serious but I'm serious about this. Do it.
it's hard packing when i'm only getting to work on it an hour or two at a time. he's going to a track in new orleans for the weekend, leaving tomorrow, so i'm going to spend more time there the next few days, so i should be able to get a lot more done.
while i'm a mess at the moment emotionally, at least work is going better. on the other hand, it was really frustrating sending out invoices for about 30 hours of freelance work that equaled more than 3 weeks/140 hours of my full time job. i'm afraid to do the math, but i think i was better off before i took the job... but... health insurance... the importance of which the past couple weeks made clear when i had a little bit of a scare. (it turned out ok)

The end was not as close as some would have had us think.
I spent the day on the company dime exploring an agricultural show proclaimed to be the biggest in Australia. I was a little underwhelmed with the lack of bargains to be had, and the general "city-fi-cation" of the whole deal... it is, after all, meant to be for the farming community.
