Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

There is no reason to not accomodate riders of all shapes. All it takes is to create one mold and you can make as many large frames as you want at lost cost.

I used to date a woman who was 5'2" but all the males in her family were absurdly tall. The shortest male was 6'7" and the next shortest was 6"9". They were all very uncomfortable in everything they did because nothing was scaled to fit them, ever. They just kind of accepted it as a reality of life but the occasional "freak out" did happen. So, I suspect the OP is having some sort of "I'm uncomfortable all of the time" freak out.

Those guys made me realize how great it is just to be me.

It's not all gravy, being an average sized guy. All of the really great clearance sale prices are on the really small and the really large sizes.

There's never any really large sizes left. They go first, to all the fat guys.

The OP has a valid point. Why don't the large manufacturers make 66cm frames? Dopers! I see it so clearly now.

If you statistics/math merit badge boy scouts don't understand the conspiracy behind how the doping pusher twerps, who had bikes made for them because they happened to be 6' tall, oppressed our altitudinous brethren by refusing to accommodate their vertically-unchallenged and giraffuous statures in a fragmented market, you don't deserve to be living in your happy, middle-of-the-bell-curve, politically-incorrect, non-prescription pants – and have justly earned an indeterminate amount of continued verbal flogging until death by run-on sentences of self-righteous jibber-jabber.

I'm 6'6" and ride a 64cm Emonda... check that out. The frame (S and SL models... not the SLR) is pretty reasonably priced too.

I just read this whole bunch of crap to find the post that brought it back from the dead. What did I find? It was brought back by someone who DIDN'T read the rest and repeated the post about Taylor Phinney. Perhaps I should say, taylor phinney. Lame!
