wd-40 as a clean good weather chain lube?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

These are getting a bit off topic. I suggest that you carry a can of WD 40 with you to lube the car wash as you ride through.

Speaking of carrying a can with you...

If you set up a rig that would constantly spray WD-40 on the chain would that be sufficient lubrication?

Are we talking on or off the bike?

On the bike, I use WD-40s new line of jockey wheels. just keep the can in a bottle cage attached to the hose and give the button a good long push every now and again.

On. Like strap the can to the bottom of a rack and have the little straw point right at the chain then duct tape the can so it sprays and ride off.

You DO NOT WANT to mix carbon fibre and WD-40, as the resultant mixture will cross the awesomeness threshhold limits. The ASPLOSION will be Brobdingnagian in proportion. You have been warned. This is the main reason why most WD-40 advocates, such as myself, ride gaspipe bikes by Huffy.

Well, yeah.

That's why you need the blue carbon.

Do you refrigerate it for this? Does it work well on popcorn as a spray butter? WD 40 may need to add some flavored lubes to their line up.

It doesn't go bad, so no need to refrigerate. It can be sprayed on anything!
