Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sadly I haven't a photo of this to display. About 180 km south of Perth in the heart of a major dairying part of the country is a town called Brunswick Junction. It has or had a thriving Lions' service club. It's now been removed, but there used to be beside the highway as it goes through the town a large sign saying 'Brunswick Lions', above which stood a statue of a cow. As I said, it's now been removed. (And that story ain't no bull either!)

Cheers

I was out riding one night at about midnight doing patrol on a bike trail. I didn't have my head light on and I thought saw something on the trail in front of me. So I turned on my light and there was a guy lying across the trail with a girl ummmmmm lets just say giving him a little present. That wasn't that strange until she saw me turned around and the first words out of her mouth were "I don't even like him". All I could say was "well from over there it looked like you liked him"

Recently, while out on a ride I saw a guy on a BENT going in the opposite direction. He was wearing a goofy hat with some sort of stuffed toy Dalmation on his head. No photo, sorry.
