+1. There will always be someone who will honestly answer the question though. I am ok with new people posting the same Q over and over since I was there at a point in time but now it is just fun hanging out here. Barely come for cycling advise anymore but rather personal advise. Weird I know... these guys have become some kind of weird family that I've never met

Nah, great person. Rode with him today and it was a great friendly and conversational ride. Good to put a face to a username and a personality as well. Very kind and hospitable. We all have our little sarcastic and nonchalant attitudes once we get comfy in our environment but, com'on, we need to give this place a twist every now and then.

There are only 2 you should consider and it depends on the situation.

situation: standing around, choose the jersey that makes you look slim.
situation: riding around, choose the jersey that makes you look fast

OP...I completely understand where you're coming from. Forget all the "wait until you have been here a while" lines. There is probably no topic that has not been covered at some point on this forum. It's the same logic with any topic on any forum, if one doesn't like it, one can easily not click on it. Very simple.

You can find nice jersey's on the web for sale every day. eBAY even has some nice deals if you look. Nashbar always run sales. I also like Voler, and Pactimo.
Have a look at those when you get time.

The only advice I will offer is to make sure you get a full zip jersey.
Nice to be able to open it all the way when it gets real hot, plus convenience factor when wearing bibs.

Are you talking about the Amgen one? Nicest free jersey I ever got and I even lied about test driving a nissan =). I do wish it was a bit stretchier though

I have had good luck with CRAFT jerseys. We get 110+ here but not that much humidity.

The dealership i went to for the caddy didn't know about the deal with it but signed my sheet anyway, but no test drive. I wasn't too concerned about it anyway haha.

I really like my black one. it is a bit thicker than most of my jerseys so on slightly cooler days it is nice. it is one of my tighter fitting jerseys too. They had a white version the 2nd year but i didn't know about that one. or nissan.. boooo

I like the Voler jerseys. I get them from the Partner section for about $69 and they ship free. I have a few of the Performance Ultra for hot weather.

I have a Kucharik Merino L/S from 2003 that is still going strong. It's simple and kinda plain but my favorite Staple for cold weather cycling. I mended a small hole this season where one of the pockets sewn on was loaded down and started to wear, and is good as new.

Buy them out. For $7 it's fine for most uses. Visible, comfortable, no indication of any "seconds" problems, pocket is good, etc.
Aaa and I'll take a few of those!

Better quality and more comfortable than my $350 speed suit which has holes and is becoming undone.

the clearance rack at your LBS is your best bet. 90% of my cycling wardrobe were closeouts. my most recent score was a pearl izumi jersey for $35.

I have this crazy notion that washing a jersey takes more out of it than wearing it. I have 12 jerseys (same jersey in a couple of different colors) and alternate them. Sixty dollar jerseys bought at half price. Do they really last longer when they are alternated? I have no clue.

Everything last only X amount uses. When alternating they get less uses over a period of time, so they last longer but still the same amount of uses.
