Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I don't but have very little body hair. If my legs looked like a shag rug I'd shave them.

Why? Its a pain shaving. If I didn't have to for work I'd forgo shaving at all.

Good thread.
I didn't win, because I only had time to shave one leg, and the wind resistance on one side kept making me turn right, but the race course was turning left.

Since I started shaving my legs, I've gained .05 seconds on a 100 K TT. Shaved my arms and got an additional .03 seconds.

Only for races, because that's when the risk for going down is greatest. Until then, I am a sasquatch.

What job do you have (if not cycling related) that requires shaving your legs?

Does that give you an aero advantage? If so, what kind of shorts are you using, and where can I buy some?

Absolutely! Makes for a more robust profile as well. I've been rocking De Marchi... Comfy, understated, not expensive.

I had a girlfriend once who only shaved from the knees down, you know, so folks wouldn't laugh when she wore a dress or skirt.

Luckily she did have some other redeeming qualities.

A few days ago my fiancee shaved my legs again. Then I decided to have some fun with the trimmer thingy. I shaved all the way to my head, then decided I wanted the aero hair style.

Also, Hot 'r not?

I was trying to be funneh. You said you were shaving your junk, and I was alluding to the thought that if you shaved your junk for an aero advantage, you'd have to have your junk exposed by wearing "special" shorts, and I was hinting that I too would be interested in wearing free-balling shorts if they exist. Complete, Total, Humorfail. Not the first of mine, and certainly not the last.

My chemo drug has caused me to lose some of my leg hairs. So, no need to shave!
