Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

All the hot bikes have been posted, other people are not 100% sure how it will be received so the really close to hot bikes are going in the other thread to avoid the abuse of not being up to par here??

Doesn't anyone ride a De Rosa 888 Superking? I don't think I've even seen any De Rosa posted on this or the other thread.

If I really had to nitpick, it would be about the 3T seatpost matched to a HED stem, and I have never been a fan of those Dura-Ace wheels, but honestly it's hot!

Hot! Gumwalls and gold chain are nice. Maybe need alittle more red accents to match the red hubs. And is that a Spesh Power saddle?

I didn't want much color on the bike at all. My vision was all black with the gold chain and gumwall tires. After Selling my supersix, I needed a braze on FD. The guy I bought mine from happened to have a Chain catcher that he said he would give me because it was already on and didn't need it. It lucked out to be the same color red and adds a slight touch of color at the right angle.

BTW: Did your Evo come with FSA chainrings? How do you like the praxis compared to them? Any noticeable difference in FD shifting under load? Thanks.

Thank you! I agree a lot of people either don't know the brand or look down on it. I have let a few people that had no previous experience with Jamis ride it and they had nothing but great things to say. It was between this or a caad 10 and thousands of miles later I have no regrets about my decision.

Thank you! Its nice to see another Icon owner posting on here. Its a great bike to own and I do like riding a bike that you don't often see. Caads are great bikes but you see them everywhere.

I've been using praxis rings for 2 years now. Everything on this bike with the exception of seatpost and FD was on my prior supersix and I just moved it over to this frame. Been forever since I ever used FSA rings. What I recall though is that it was faster and smoother transition between rings.

I like this Cannondale! With the bright yellow gum walls, hubs in the same color would look great!

I'm not the guy in question, but my Praxis rings are loads better than FSA rings or SRAM's PowerGlide rings. I'm a big guy with strong legs, so maybe the extra stiffness helps, but everything just feels better.
