Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

i'm still working on adjusting the front end. angle of the picture made it look worse than it was. bars have rotated down quite a bit, and shifters pulled back. if anyone wants to see it in its final setup, pm me and i'll send a later pic

i like the background, too. i love the mountains. and i've always thought garage door pix were so blasé...

took me 15 years to find a saddle i love, and they don't make it in white. i ain't tradin' it in

Non-neutral backgrounds might fly in that other HrN thread but this is the NIHrN.

Why not post the pic? I rotated the pic for you and posted it and its still super high. You need to go to black bar tape then if you insist on keeping the saddle

I'll have to say, not... It has potential with minimal changes though! Change pedals to clipless, cut steerer tube, change stem angle and I would give it a hot. I like it though, just not hot.

Staged fine. I know what you were after with the white/black/white as far as saddle, hoods, and tape. Nice try, but not quite there for me. Close.

Not

Strap in pedals
Negative stem with that top tube, combined with the bars pointed down looks awful.
Cut that steering tube
Dislike the white hoods

All these things are parts that simply dont appeal to me. Not saying any of them are right or wrong.

Has potential, but that Front end looks funny with the short/high rise stem. Those bars look odd to me. they look like 3T ergonova's, but something looks off about them.

Not a bad bike or build, but as for aesthetics, Its just missing the plate for me.

Probably better suited for the budget HrN thread, but I'll go ahead and let you guys lay into me. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.

Gonna go with NO. Not a fan of that blue, there's grey on the fork that is not matched anywhere else on the bike, for some reason the white cages don't do it for me, would prefer centering the tire valve stems instead of the wheel logos, don't like angle of rear skewer, color of rear derailleur looks cheap, too much beige makes the picture and room bland, carpet looks worn and somewhat dirty, door hardware belongs in a senior center, what I believe is an Ethernet cable running along wall is lazy, and picture was taken at standing eye level causing distracting wall/door angle on left--camera should have been vertically centered on bike.

Short, negative rise stem slammed to the top cap. Saddle slammed forward. Why didn't you go for a smaller frame size?

That opus is busy graphics wise, but Hot none the less. Wouldn't mind seeing a different set of wheels on it that was all black. This is one of the first bikes I have seen that the FSA stem/seatpost has worked just right.

Yes but the photo is well shot. Impressive depth of field!
