Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Looking for some solid black pedals, haven't found anything that's caught my eye yet.

One of these on the road yesterday really caught my eye. Can't tell from the photo what I like about it, but it looked good rolling by. Maybe it's just that it was faster than me.

I apologize for the lack of tire/stem alignment—I might actually just deflate the damned thing and move it. Oh well.

Sorry. Long stem + saddle slammed back, methinks that frame is perhaps a size too small for you. Also, uncut steerer = sternum breaker. Also also, pretty terrible background.

Very possibly! I've just got it; haven't changed anything out yet. Feels pretty comfortable, but I've got to spend more time with it.

(And yeah—that background ain't great, is it?)

Overall, it's OK. Not hot, not "not," but not boring, either.
Osymetric chain wheel, however.... NOT.

I saw the frame and was inclined to auto-like but the old tires which are also misaligned, the slammed saddle, and the uncircumcised steer tube all are difficult for me to overlook.

Also SRAM crank with shimano??

The Caad black is quite the odd mixture of mishmashed parts. Did you buy from a shop like that?

Not uncommon with a BB30 frame and preferable to the FSA options, IMO (though with a CAAD, a C'dale crankset might be a more appropriate).

I'm running an SI on my Black Inc CAAD, came with some FSA rings which I switched out for Cannondale. I'm weird like that, I don't like my bike to cross-dress.

Got from Online Swap Meet; old bike got wrecked in a car accident and I absolutely love the frame so I jumped on it. I might change the cranks eventually, but they feel fine for now. (I might also just see if acetone takes the lettering and details off.) Will probably get praxis rings in future, at least. In the mean time, I'm pretty poor, so I'll try and keep out of this thread .

EDIT: apparently the acetone might be a bad idea, so I'll look into other ways of doing it.

EDIT 2: I'll think about the steerer tube thing; that's not a bad point. I just don't want to cut it before I'm sure of the height I want. For reference, @k_kibbler's comment made me realize that my old quill stem is probably why my sternum is still messed up from my accident, and is kind of motivating me to figure that height out quickly...
