Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Awesome! My build is very simillar but weighs in at 15.4 with garmin mount, speedplay zero cho mo, blackburn cf cages, and g3 hub. My frame is also a good 100g heavier.

When you say similar build and 100g heavier frame, what are we taking here?

My frame is supposedly 675ish grams.

Giant tcr sl is 829g but with seatpost included. Similar build as in, 3.4ses wheels, dura ace 9000 and everything cabron. This means that i'm probably suffering about 100g in frame, 100g in powertap and another 200g in misc like pedals, saddle, stem, bar and crankset.

I think my power meter is about 20g.

I didn't buy this bike to have the lightest thing on the block because we all know enve isn't that product, but it sure is one of the best and is light enough.

yeah @bianchi10 that's the Exposure MaXxD (I have jokes for that name) and it's great. Best light I've owned by far. It's insanely bright, and on high lasts about 4 hours, plus the mounting system is slick, I just click it into the mount that stays on my bars. I had an Exposure before, but not one this nice... worth the cost of admission.

However, difficult color schemes make for a huge potential of a good looking bike in the making, assuming the owner knows a thing or two about how to make a good looking bike.

But as it sits, that bike is at -12Kalvin.
What do you think like this? When in doubt, go black?

I like it a lot. The frame and fork actually make the chunky stem work, yet the whole thing together is still quite elegant.

aside from stem, which i got fitted to, have at it. this my baby. its a shelf bike, although not very common in the states. i originally was into the matte black frames/bikes but one ride and this just blessed my heart. love my Focus. oddly, i also didn't want a bike with the name splattered all over it. go figure.

I just sold me Easton EC90SL because of the logos... 4 per side. Great wheels but my bike was a rolling billboard. The new one won't be... pics to come when it arrives.

Stem? What about those mega bars?
I'll give it a 'hot' just for being black and yellow. Personally, among colors on a mostly black bike, I find yellow most appealing. Dark green can also be very attractive with black. Pale green and pale blue are OK, as is orange. Red is OK, but boring, probably only because it's overplayed. Medium or dark blue, or purple on a black bike? Ehhhh... no.

the bars are stock, on my list to replace along with seat post. they didnt stick out so much with the wheel set the bike came with, the new mavics made them pop out big time. so much agree on colors, thats why i wanted matte black.

this was just shortly after getting it. all stock minus stem

They make the highest quality lights for sure, as evidenced by yours being "entry level" and still better than 99% of other company's products.
